Home of the Sparrow is a non-profit organization that was established in Exton, PA in 1997 to provide supportive services to homeless women and their children in order to reach a goal of independence. Their mission is to help women understand the causes of their homelessness, combat obstacles related to poverty and develop skills so that they can live self-sufficiently. Visit their website at www.homeofthesparrow for full details of their program.
Volunteers and generous donors contribute to the success of the Home of the Sparrow program. The VFDC would like to invite you to participate in helping the Home stretch their budget by providing a gift card contribution during the VFDC. Cards are especially needed from: Giant, ShopRite, Wawa, Target, Acme, Staples, Home Depot and Lowe's.

Watch for the decorated BIRD HOUSES throughout the conference facility to donate your gift card or stop at the registration desk with your donation.
The Home of the Sparrow will also be awarded the Second District Humanitarian Award during the President's Dinner, Thursday evening, March 8th at Margaret Kuo's Restaurant in Wayne, PA. At that time the Home will receive a $500 donation from the Valley Forge Second District Dental Association, in addition to the gift cards collected during VFDC.
Please join us in recognizing this worthwhile organization and challenge your staff to also participate as a group or individuals. Thank you in advance.
Dr. Karin Brian
Second District President
